Quod Sumus Hoc Eritis - black pen - 2017

Check the making of this work at my Youtube Channel: www.youtube.com/watch?v=5T9OQU… - Don't forget to subscribe the channel :P

The title of this works means "Such as we are, so shall you be". It makes much more sence if translated to a modern language based on Latin, such as Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian or Romanian; in English doesn't have the same ring to it. But I think you get the point :)

When I was a kid, I remember looking at a magazine at the library which showed pictures from Dia de Mertos. I was fascinated by these little skeleton figurines that people would make to represent their dead relatives. Your piece brings back those intriguing memories of dancing and singing skeletons. Very strong image!

did you like this piece? I'm glad it brought positive memories to someone hehe. If you want, you can always see it being created on youtube, although I think I haven't made a cheerful video this time :p

I watched the video and I liked the fact that you change the subject of your art every now and then. maybe it would be a little boring to always have a look at the same kind of art, so changes aren't always that bad :)
now I should watch the last part of the Origins of the Gods; I'm finally having some spare time for me and what I like the most :)
I bought a book about Celtic tales :) a very nice one, I should start reading it soon, especially during night time.
I suppose I haven't told you until now, I totally forgot about it .___.

what's the name of that book? :D and thank you so much for appreciating my videos and art ^^ and I think you are right, it's always good to change subject in anything; people have the tendency to get bored quite easily. I'm thinking of doing other videos beside the blog themes and art.

The book is called Celtic Myths bya  writer called Rollerstone. he's quite unkown to me so it will be an interesting reading.
also, I watched the last uploaded video and couldn't help to think about the duality of the human nature also related to different kind of gods. there's a god for almost every single aspect of human life and some of them are actually unkown to many.
my book about Scandinavian Paganism in general is full of names and after some years it's hard to remember them.
but I always try not to have a look at it lol
that's right, you should do what you feel like doing :)
I do like myths very much and people are often surprised to see how deep my knowledge is on certain subjects lol

When I was in Nottingham, I was very close to buy that one actually xD After you read it, tell me if it was worth it ^^ btw, you have any deity you like the most?

alright! I should read it some time during this week ^^
yes, right now I have a thing for Perun, Slavic God of lightnings and rain.
I already mentioned him in another comment :)
I pretty much like rain and winter time, but sometimes thunders and lightnings scare me a little.
I think this deity is pretty fascinating and is somewhat connected to my mood every now and then
it's hard to explain, hope you get my point :)
and you? what about your personal deity?

I love winter too and all its madness, exept the wind that roots out trees :/ The Slavic deities are very interesting indeed and at some point during my first years of studying European Paganism, I also study the Slavic gods and was very interesting the research. Right now, my favorite gods are 3. Freyja, Hela and Bragi.
