The Lusitanians (the ancient Celtic tribes of the territories of nowadays modern Portugal and central eastern parts of Spain) had a society where everyone had their role to play, no one was considered less than another and both men and women had equal rights. But such as their Celtic brothers from other European lands, the Lusitanians had spiritual guides, a mixture between a Druid and a Shaman. It isn't certain if the Lusitanians addressed such a man by the name of Endre (Endres - plural), this name might be the source of fiction, such as the Legendary Endre called Idevor. It is certain that such men existed, they were the oracles of the tribes, they were druids, shamans, there are inscriptions in stone and later in pottery, about such men. They knew how to read and write, and they used both the Celtic alphabet (the Ogham) and the Runes. These people lived in a time way before the Northern peoples of Europe used the Runes as a form of writing and prophesize, the Endres used the Runes also, which leeds people to believe that the Runes are a more ancient type of writing than what we realized. The Runes might have been a very secret code only used by the Elites of each society, by those who held the spiritual powers.

it is amazing to notice that in Pagan cultures both men and women had equal rights, and that nowadays in civilized world women are often discriminated and men are put under the best light.
just wondering.
excellent job, Arith!
